I think the train up might be the best option, decisions decisions.

Am now officially stuck in Camberley for the next month or so, but it shows that i must actually be a pretty good bar manager because it's one of the busiest pubs i've ever seen...

In other news, im getting married.

TBC

Is violence clever?

Working in a pub makes you realise just how violent people can get and because im one of the senior members of staff i'm supposed to sort it out all the damn time, but the one thing that annoys me is idle threats, if you want to do something just fucking do it ... take this for example.

I'm serving about 2/3 people at once, a group of 10-15 chavs walk in making a fair bit of noise, which is very noticable at a pub without music, i get the new guy (half because he was serving them, and half to teach him not to be afraid of i.d checking) to check each and everyone of their i'ds.

All hell broke loose, two people didn't have their i.d so i turned round and said either those two left or no-one was getting a drink wether they had i.d or not, it's strict but you need to assert authority in this town or you will be run over with trouble. Anyway they didn't like this and started the usual session of threats that i hear every weekend, so i just turn around calm as anything and say, well fuck off then if you don't like it.

All of a sudden they offer me around the bar, so i walk around the other side of the bar, my mate B realises whats happening and backs me up straight away, now chavs being chavs i went straight for the loudest guy, B handed him a glass and said 'go on then, kill us'

They just gave up and walked out, we wasn't trying to be hard, believe me inside i was shitting it but it worked... why bother threatening someone if you don't want to back it up?

....................................................................

The rest of the shift went well, had way too much alcohol after work, fucking irish measures lol!

Well it's the first time i've tried anything like this so posting in something like livejournal is new... but next week it's the start of what must be a new life because im moving out of home and starting a new position at work.

The new place is a shared flat above the pub i work in, it's a nice big room has sky tv, fully fitted bathroom and kitchen and most importantly as much free space as i want. Admittedly the £100 per week sounds a little daunting as i always spend more than i have but i guess they're taking it right out of my account and that includes everything, even breakages :)

The new job title is just odd though, i'll be a manager but without the title... I'm still waiting on a figure for my payrise and the benefits should be good but i have to sacrifice my friday and saturday nights of for 'the needs of the business.' While writing this i'm thinking am i writing to other people or myself, it's really destressing... which is something i need right now. Fuck it, don't know what else to write right now.

I'm a little confused with my love life, there's intrests but nothing ever seems to be easy, i don't mind the struggle but for once i just wish it'd come to me rather than always having to hunt for what i want.
